Migrate once. Build for the next decade.

Legacy platform migrations fail when teams underestimate data complexity, customisation debt and integration surface area. Divante has delivered 150+ production migrations and built a repeatable methodology that treats data migration, feature parity and cutover planning as first-class deliverables - not afterthoughts.

We use a traffic-splitting approach: your legacy platform stays live while the new one is built in parallel. Traffic is gradually shifted using feature flags. If anything goes wrong at any stage, you revert in minutes - not days.

Capabilities

Migration capabilities

Magento 1 & 2 exit

Full migration from Magento to Shopify Plus, commercetools, BigCommerce or Alokai.

SFCC migration

Salesforce Commerce Cloud re-platforming with full feature parity before cutover.

SAP Accelerator exit

Move from JSP-based Accelerator to Spartacus or fully headless with Clean Core patterns.

Data migration

Catalogue, customer, order, CMS and loyalty data - ETL pipelines with reconciliation audit.

Traffic splitting

Gradual cutover with feature flags, real-time monitoring and instant rollback capability.

Feature parity audit

Systematic comparison of legacy vs new platform before any traffic is shifted.

Our process.

01

Audit & inventory

Catalogue all customisations, integrations, data entities and traffic patterns on the legacy platform. Size the migration effort.

02

New platform build

Build the new stack in parallel - storefront, integrations, admin tools - while the legacy platform continues trading.

03

Data migration & sync

Extract, transform and load all catalogue, customer, order and CMS data. Run a live sync to keep both systems current during the transition window.

04

Traffic split & cutover

Gradually shift traffic from 5% → 20% → 50% → 100%. Monitor error rates and conversion at each stage. Full rollback available at any point.

Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know before we talk.

How do you ensure zero downtime during cutover?
We use traffic splitting: your legacy platform stays live and takes 100% of traffic while we build and test the new platform in parallel. We then gradually shift traffic - typically 5%, 20%, 50%, 100% - monitoring conversion rates and error budgets at each stage. Full rollback is available at any point.
What do you do about data migration?
We build dedicated ETL pipelines for every data entity: catalogue, customers, orders, CMS content, reviews, loyalty points. We run a full reconciliation audit before going live and maintain a live sync between old and new systems during the transition window.
How long does a migration take?
A straightforward Magento 2 → Shopify Plus migration takes 12-20 weeks. A complex SAP Commerce Cloud re-platforming takes 20-32 weeks. Data complexity, number of integrations and customisation debt are the main drivers.
What about existing customisations?
We start with a customisation audit that categorises every modification as: carry forward, rebuild natively on new platform, or retire. Usually 30-40% of Magento customisations can be handled by out-of-the-box features on the new platform.
Can you migrate while we keep trading?
Yes - keeping the business trading throughout the migration is non-negotiable for us. Our parallel-build, traffic-splitting approach has worked on every migration we have delivered.
