Clean product data is the foundation every channel depends on.

Poor product data is the root cause of low conversion rates, high return rates, and failed channel launches. Pimcore solves this by centralising all product information, digital assets, and content in one open-source platform — and distributing it consistently to your eCommerce storefront, marketplace feeds, print, and B2B portals.

Divante implements and integrates Pimcore against your existing commerce stack — Shopify Plus, commercetools, SAP Commerce, Adobe Commerce, or a custom build. We handle data modelling, import pipelines, connector development, and the governance processes your teams need to keep data clean at scale.

Capabilities

Pimcore implementation & integration.

PIM Implementation

Full Pimcore PIM setup — product data model design, attribute sets, classification systems, variants, and bundles. We build the data architecture to match your catalogue complexity, not just the Pimcore defaults.

DAM Setup & Asset Governance

Digital Asset Management configuration with metadata schema, tagging taxonomy, rendition presets, and automated resizing pipelines. Connect assets directly to products for consistent multi-channel delivery.

Commerce Platform Integration

Bidirectional connectors between Pimcore and your commerce platform — Shopify Plus, commercetools, SAP Commerce, or Adobe Commerce. Product data, assets, and pricing pushed on schedule or event-driven.

Import & ETL Pipelines

Automated data import from ERP, supplier feeds, and legacy systems into Pimcore. Data transformation, validation rules, and enrichment workflows — keeping catalogue quality high as new products arrive.

Headless CMS & DXP Delivery

Pimcore as a headless CMS — delivering structured content, landing pages, and editorial blocks to your Next.js or Nuxt storefront via the Data Hub GraphQL API. Content and commerce data from a single source.

Data Quality & Governance

Completeness rules, validation workflows, mandatory field enforcement, and approval processes for product data. We build the governance layer so your catalogue quality improves over time rather than degrading.

Our process.

01

Data audit & modelling

We map your existing product data landscape — ERP fields, supplier formats, current catalogue structure — and design the Pimcore data model before writing a line of configuration. This prevents expensive rework mid-project.

02

Pimcore setup & configuration

PIM classes, DAM metadata, workflow configuration, user roles, and data quality rules set up to match your team's actual processes. We train your editors and data managers during setup, not as an afterthought.

03

Import & integration build

ETL pipelines from ERP and supplier sources into Pimcore, plus connectors to your commerce platform and marketplace channels. Full delta-sync and error-handling — so data stays in sync without manual intervention.

04

Validation & go-live

End-to-end data quality validation across all channels before cut-over. Post-launch support retainer available — we monitor sync health and handle Pimcore version upgrades on your schedule.

Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know before we talk.

When does it make sense to add a PIM like Pimcore?
The most common triggers are: managing more than 10,000 SKUs, selling across multiple channels (own storefront + marketplaces + B2B portal), frequent supplier data onboarding, high return rates driven by inaccurate product descriptions, or a re-platforming project where you need to clean up legacy data before migrating. A PIM pays for itself when the alternative is a team manually maintaining product data in spreadsheets.
How does Pimcore integrate with our eCommerce platform?
We build bidirectional connectors via Pimcore's Data Hub (GraphQL/REST) or direct API integration. For commercetools and Shopify Plus we have pre-built connector patterns we extend to your data model. SAP Commerce integrations use the OCC API. Sync can be scheduled (batch) or event-driven (webhook-triggered) depending on your latency requirements and data volume.
Is Pimcore genuinely open source or does it have enterprise licensing costs?
Pimcore Community Edition is free and open source under the GPLv3 licence. The Enterprise Edition (Pimcore EE) adds additional features, a commercial SLA, and support from Pimcore GmbH — pricing is based on usage and scope. For most eCommerce implementations, the Community Edition covers all required functionality. We advise on which edition is appropriate during the initial scoping.
How long does a Pimcore implementation take?
A focused PIM implementation with one commerce platform integration typically takes 8–14 weeks. The timeline is driven primarily by data modelling complexity, the quality of existing source data, and the number of import sources. Projects that involve significant data cleansing or multiple channel connectors typically run 16–24 weeks. We scope this precisely during the discovery phase before committing.
Can Pimcore replace our ERP product master?
Pimcore is not an ERP and is not designed to replace it. The correct architecture is: ERP (SAP, Dynamics, Oracle) holds operational and financial product data; Pimcore enriches and distributes marketing, digital, and channel-specific product content. The ERP remains the record of truth for SKUs, pricing, and stock — Pimcore is the record of truth for everything the customer sees.
