New website of the largest and oldest Swedish publishing house impresses not only with its fresh design, but it’s also adjusted to the needs of mobile users.
Norstedts is Swedish oldest publishing house, founded in 1823. The publishing programme comprises both fiction and non-fiction, including Swedish and foreign authors as Maria Lang, Per Olov Enquist, Mario Vargas Llosa or Claude Simon.
Collaboration between the companies began in June 2016. Within the four-month project, Divante implemented a website based on CMS PimCore that presents a wide range of the publishing house products.
The project began with a workshop, which allowed for thorough examination of the client’s needs. It became the basis for determining the scope of work on the project.
Based on design provided by the Swedish agency Oxys, Divante started to implement frontend and work on integrations, including integration with the client’s systems that store information on products and authors. The next step was implementation of dedicated functions.
We hope that implementing a modern CMS PIMcore, easy to integrate with other systems, will help Norstedts to easily manage and present online the wide range of their products – said Paulina Sztebner, Project Manager responsible for the implementation.
Divante will also be responsible for hosting the application.
The new website is fully responsive, modern and we take a great step into the future with it. The database of books and author is huge but Divantes work makes it run effortless – said Olle Lidbom, head of Communications at Norstedts Förlagsgrupp.
In the future, Divante and Norstedts Förlagsgrupp will work together on the other projects, among other things a website addressed to the younger generation of readers.
