Since I can remember it was always difficult to convince customers to the advantages of Magento Enterprise. It wasn’t surprising. Versions of both platforms don’t differ too much and only the largest customers want to pay for the extra sense of security.

Thank you for the great article.
Comparing functionalities does not bring you to the essence of the Enterprise Edition. If your future is digital commerce, a large part of your revenue is generated online, better make sure Magento as a vendor will support you. With Magento 2 the difference between CE and EE will only grow, new features are added with each new release, like B2B coming up pretty soon, but it will not be available in CE. Finally Magento understands very well that new projects need enterprise quality, that’s why they will introduce new lighter pricing based on revenue.

This article is missing a key major new feature of Enterprise that is now available with Magento 2.1 – Content Staging and Preview. This feature lets marketers make changes to the site and preview how the site will look (with full browseability) at some point in the future without having to publish the changes live until the scheduled time.

Also, Magento 2.1 has replaced Solr with ElasticSearch, a newer and more popular search technology.

Great article, it’s been hard to find articles outlining the difference between the two. Magento is an open-source e-commerce platform written in PHP. It is one of the most popular open e-commerce systems in the network. This software is created using the Zend Framework.
