What does the company do?
We turn existing payment cards into universal loyalty & rewards cards. ZenCard is an omnichannel solution that solves one of the biggest problems of modern businesses – how to make people come back? How to turn one time shoppers into regulars?
What are the key differentiated features of your product or service?
Our unique features include:
- integration with payment terminals – we remove all the barriers for people to signup to the loyalty & rewards programme therefore we increase number of involved customers by 3x compared to typical plastic card/app based system,
- we are omnichannel – system works the same way on both e-commerce and in brick&mortar stores,
- we support non-monetary rewards – not only discounts.
What have you learned from early versions of the product or service?
We’ve learned that shops would like to give not only discounts. They would like to give gifts or some other non-monetary rewards. Our system can do that in both brick & mortar stores and in e-commerce. We’ve learned that in e-commerce one of the biggest problems is that people buy once and never come back. We tackle that problem in very efficient way.
What early traction has the company gotten (sales, customers, traffic, etc.)?
We have 5 customers signed up and 20 more waiting for integration. We have also a big list of customers waiting for our first payment terminals to launch.
Why does your company have high growth potential?
We are solving big problem and we are tightly integrated into payment ecosystem that works the same way across the globe! The e-commerce solution is very easy to implement and scale as well.
Who are the founders?
CEO – Krzysztof Klimczak is ex COO of Toyota Bank in Poland. He is an experienced operator with many years of experience in highly regulated environment.
CTO – Marek Rogoziński is an experienced system architect and author of books on high performance data retrieval systems.
CMO – Jarek Sygitowicz is an experienced product designer and marketer. He successfully sold his previous company to found ZenCard.
All of us are highly motivated and focused on making ZenCard successful.
Who are the company’s competitors?
We see card linked marketing platforms (i.e. VISA + EDO Interactive, Cardlytics, Twitter Offers etc.) entering European market as competitors as well as existing multi-merchant loyalty platforms like Payback in Poland
What is the company’s last valuation?
Based on latest round of financing its 4mlnUSD post-money. We’ve raised 1mlnUSD in 2014.
How do you plan to scale in the next 12 months?
We are focusing on making our customers happy and we are focused on Europe at the moment. We have a sales office in Warsaw, Dublin and recently in London (we got accepted to Level39 in Canary Wharf).
